Personal

I was born in 2001 in Bandırma, a small port town known for its seaside atmosphere, proximity to holiday destinations, and diverse community that often reminds one of larger metropolises. My parents have long run a small shop together, and growing up in that environment gave me an early sense of entrepreneurship and community.

My fascination with technology began early. The very first computer I touched was an old Windows 98 desktop my father had bought for work. I spent countless hours exploring it and playing arcade games. By the time I turned 12, my parents rewarded me with a computer of my own. That’s when my first product-building adventure began: simulating an imaginary Lego-inspired strategy game in Microsoft Excel with my brother. It wasn’t glamorous, but it was my first taste of creating something from scratch.

During high school, physics quickly became my favorite subject. Teachers were often surprised by how naturally I understood the concepts, sometimes even asking if I had private lessons. Despite the limited resources of our small-town school, I sought opportunities to create. In my final year, we organized a mini fair where students could showcase their projects. That’s when I built my first robot with a friend, first true step into the world of software and engineering.

I later achieved my long-time dream of entering one of the country’s most prestigious technical universities to study engineering. Alongside academics, I joined social communities, took on freelance projects, and gained experience in both startups and large corporates. I’ve tried founding startups three times, even pitching to investors, though I didn’t secure funding, each attempt gave me invaluable lessons in resilience and product building.

And that brings me to today still curious, still building, and still exploring what’s possible at the intersection of technology, creativity, and impact.
